Successful Delivery of FPSO Cidade de Saquarema

FPSO Cidade de Saquarema ready to sail away
Delivery Ceremony of FPSO Cidade de Saquarema was held at 2# Berth in the afternoon of August 11th, 2015. Mr. Nan Daqing, Vice General Mamager of CSSC Group, Mr. Bernard van Leggelo, General Executive Director of SBM, Mr.Leonardo villain, Exploration and Petroleum Production Manager of Petrobras, Mr. Li Guowei, Vice-President of ABS Greater China Area, Mr. Gao Feng, General Manager of CSSC Guangzhou Shipbuilding Industrial Co. Ltd., and other leaders and guests attended the event.
Mr. Bernard van Leggelo congratulated the successful delivery of FPSO Cidade de Saquarema in Chengxi Guangzhou. He expressed his gratitude towards great supports from CSSC Group, as well as hard work by project management team and all site workers from SBM and CXG. By high safety standard and strict requirement, an excellent HSE record of 5,800,000,000 manhours without Lost-Time-Incident was achieved; 1400km of cable were pulled, of which length is equivalent with the distance from Guangzhou to Beijing; 25,000 tons of petroleum processing modules were installed. All the above achievements had created a new record in FPSO conversion filed, said Mr. Leggelo. SBM expects for future cooperation with Chengxi Guagngzhou and CSSC Group and firmly believes that the cooperation will last for long time with joint efforts.
Mr.Leonardo villain, Exploration and Petroleum Production Manager of Petrobras, pointed out in his speech that CDS was capable to increase 150,000 barrels crude oil for Brazil. This will bring great support for energy supply of Brazil. CDS is a witness of the friendship of CSSC Group and Petrobras. FPSO Cidade de Maricá and FPSO Cidade de Saquarema had achieved a safety world record of 1,900,000,000 manhours without Lost-Time-Incident. This is a great achievement. Mr.Leonardo villain expresses his appreciation for efforts by the project management team and site workers.
Mr. Yin Xueming, Chairman of Chengxi Guanghou, highlighted in his speech that CDS entered CXG for repairing and conversion on May 12th, 2013. During its 630-day stay, CXG had inputted the resources and manpower and tackled various difficulties. The successful completion of conversion work and the HSE record of 850,000,000 manhours without LTI had delivered a excellent performance to Petrobras and SBM. FPSO Cidade de Saquarema is a tough task with huge workload, tight schedule, large number of modifications. During the conversion, all CXG staffs, especially the project management team members, workshops and subcontractors, gave up weekends and holidays and held fast in their own position to work for the project. It is their hard work night and day that ensures an on-time completion of all production tasks on CDS. All staffs involved in this project deserves a thumb-up!
